AHL hosts inaugural Community Sector Challenge – Proceeds to Albany Community Foundation
Posted on:
On Wednesday the 15th of March Advance Housing Ltd hosted the inaugural Community Sector Challenge; a quiz night for staff and directors of organisations involved in community services in the Albany area. 74 people attended and raised $1,110 for Albany Community Foundation to put towards its crisis response fund.
Advance Housing Ltd sponsored the night with prizes donated from Pivot Support Services, Albany Youth Support Association, Albany Community Care, Albany City Motors, Lincolns Accountants, Paperbark Merchants, Retravision Albany, Bred Co, Albany Eco House, and Emu Point Café.
“It was a great opportunity for community sector staff to get together in a social setting in support of Albany Community Foundation; a local charity that supports our most in need clients”, said CEO, John Lysaught. “Our respective teams normally only get together to work on solutions for vulnerable people, so it was really positive to connect as peers in a fun social setting”.
Based on the positive response to the event, Advance Housing Ltd are now looking to run it on an annual basis.
