Advance Housing’s proposed 36-unit project at the corner of Ascanius Parade and Stranmore Boulevard is moving to the next stage.

Oyster Harbour Green is a community housing project seeking to help address the current shortfall in social and affordable housing in Albany through the creation of 36 attractive new homes that are 100% compliant with R-Codes. The development includes one and two-bedroom units to meet Albany’s evolving housing needs and enhances tenants’ sense of community by integrating with surrounding areas. Advance Housing has focused on creating inviting spaces that promote social interaction and physical activity through common landscaped areas and private outdoor spaces. The number of trees in the design exceeds the minimum requirement by 625% and soft landscaping exceeds the minimum requirement by 26%. AHL have ensured that all units exceed the Gold Standard of the Liveable Housing Design Guidelines and 7.32 Stars under NatHERs; Australia’s most rigorous energy efficiency standard. This has been achieved through using high specification insulation, double glazing, sunlight optimisation, thermal mass, LED Lighting, stormwater retention systems, and more.
